Terms and conditions

Last updated: 25 August 2026·Version history

Short version

Five things about the terms

  1. 1

We work from a written quote: nothing starts until you accept it.

  2. 2

The estimate you generate yourself on the site is indicative — it commits neither of us.

  3. 3

You pay in phases, as written in the proposal, never everything upfront.

  4. 4

Once it’s paid in full, the code is yours.

  5. 5

If we find a defect, we fix it; anything beyond that is maintenance, sold separately.

How we work

Every project starts from a written quote you accept before we begin. From that point, the accepted quote is the agreement that guides the whole job: what we build, in how much time, in how many phases.

The estimate on the site

The estimate you generate yourself with the tool on the site is preliminary and indicative: it gives you a sense of cost and timeline, but it isn’t a contract and doesn’t commit either of us. The real proposal comes in writing, after we’ve talked it through.

How payment works

Payments are split into phases, as set out in the accepted written proposal — we never ask for the full amount upfront. The phases and deadlines are specific to each project and stay written into the quote.

Who owns the code

The code and project materials remain ours until the work is paid in full. Once the final phase is settled, ownership of what’s been delivered passes to you: the code is yours, and you can take it anywhere.

Our guarantees

If a defect shows up after delivery, measured against what the quote agreed to, we fix it. The guarantee covers mistakes in our own work, not new requests or changes of mind — those get quoted separately.

Maintenance

Maintenance — updates, backups, monitoring, small changes — is a separate service from the initial project: it isn’t included by default, and starts whenever you want, with its own proposal.

Governing law

These terms, and any contract that follows from them, are governed by Italian law. Any dispute falls under the Italian court named in the written proposal. If we change these terms, we’ll announce it on this page, with the version history below.

Five things to know

  • We only collect what you type into our forms: contact, quote, or custom project requests.
  • We use it to answer you and put together a proposal. Nothing else — no tracking, no ads.
  • We don’t sell or share it with anyone. The tools that help us send emails only see it for that.
  • We keep it for 24 months, then delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner, any time.
  • You can ask to see or delete your data whenever you want: below, or at info@exhomo.org.
